Cels Piñol Guerrero

 

Cels Piñol and Álex Santaló contribute to the international relaunch of the well-known brand.

 

In the Seventies, the famous KALKITOS became a great pop leisure icon through many countries. Tracing over a transfer sheet one could place figures in different settings. Today, the original KALKITOS are real collector's pieces.

KALKITOS are back to live, promoted by Ideas Empire, Singapore based company which has acquired the license and markets it worldwide.

New designs have been created that retain the originals' appeal, KALKITOS from different genres are being marketed again, and the original designs are due to be recovered.

Piñol and Santaló are the first Spanish artists to contribute in this new KALKITOS stage. The popular 'narizones' who starred in the Fantom Town graphic novel jump now to this format Cels' been a fan from since he was a child, reaching thus a new figure of international renown.

Cels Piñol (Barcelona, 1970) is a writer, script writer, illustrator, graphic designer and businessman. He's been publishing works like Fanhunter,
Fantom Town or Fan Letal for the last 22 years.

Àlex Santaló (Barcelona, 1977) is an illustrator and graphic designer. He's recently published his book Me gusta el fútbol, by Glénat and El Terrat, based on a script by Adrià Serra.
